I am inspired each time I return to nature; the awakening of the senses becomes a form of expression in direct response to the conflict of being inside (both literally and figuratively). The sun trickles through the bright red maple leaves shimmering and crackling as they wait for the wind to carry them away. My shoes crunch leaves as I wander off deep into the woods. I rest my head on the soft spongy floor of moss and fall asleep. The micro-world surrounds me. My body and its actions within the natural world are my inspiration: the immersed body = the exaltation of life.
